Here are the particulars…

You may begin this online exam at the time of your choosing but the timeframe in which you have to take this exam (along with any reattempts) is now through Jan 15th, 2023. Allow time for reattempts just in case.

You will have 12 hours (720 minutes) to complete this 125-question exam from the time you press the start button. Be sure you have as free an uninterrupted block of time as possible as no exceptions will be made for more time.

All questions are either true/false or multiple choice. There is only one correct answer to each question. Each question is worth one point.

You may consult your slides or notes while taking this exam, however, we advise you save this option until the very end, and only use if there is extra time to do so.  Doing this for the whole exam process will assuredly slow you down which may jeopardize your ability to finish the exam in the time allotted.

After answering all questions, you’ll be given an opportunity to review all your test answers before submission for grading. Should you reach the 12-hour time limit and not have completed the exam, the questions you have answered will automatically be submitted.

Once you’ve submitted, your answers are final and may not be changed.

A score of 80% is needed to successfully pass this exam (100 of 125 questions)

Once submitted, we will report your score within 2 business days.

If you passed, you’ll be provided a final score and also the questions you got wrong. Correct answers cannot be requested, though, until the end of the examination period (9/30/22). It is your responsibility to request correct answers at that time.

If you failed your first attempt, you’ll be provided the score, and again, the questions you got wrong so you can study-up prior to your second attempt.

Re-testing will be offered for those who do not pass their initial exam attempt. Your first retest attempt will be complimentary, though additional retest attempts (2 more allowed) will be assessed an additional $50 fee (this will be an alternative version of the first exam). You will have all-totaled, 4 attempts to pass (including this initial exam).  Those who fail all 4 attempts will be required to retake the training as an alumnus (reduced rate) before they may attempt the exam process again.

The $175 examination fee also covers the grading of your required case write-up (as described in training). The case study submission deadline is Jan 15th, 2023, and the submission of your case is to be done independently of the online exam process. Please follow the separate guidelines given for the case write-up process, but as a reminder…

The final case study write-up should be sent to:

Test-taking Tips:

Get a good night’s sleep beforehand. When choosing to take your exam, be refreshed and well-hydrated.

Choose to eat food ahead, or snack during, that provide the best support for focus and energy. (only you know what that is for you)

Be confident the time you choose to take the exam will be that which is uninterrupted or with minimal interruption, as once you begin there will be no chance to pause the clock.

We recommend you do a first-pass through the exam answering only the questions you are confident on, as any unanswered questions will be presented again at the end of the process. Your second pass will allow you more time for questions you are less confident about and prevent you from being rushed at the end for questions you may know well. This process will continue until all questions are answered or you run out of time.

You are not penalized for guessing, so it’s in your best interest to complete each question, even if it’s a guess.

Final Note from Susan…

You’ve got this! I know it’s been a while since you covered the material but this exam is more of a formality at best – If you completed the training, and you’ve reviewed the quizzes, you should be able to pass this exam fairly easily – I’m giving you a lot of extra time just in case!

I can tell a lot more about what you know from your case study write-up anyway. Some folks are great test-takers, and some are just plain not – that’s okay and the reason why I’m giving you several attempts to get this right!

Final Note: at least with this initial version of the exam, questions are grouped by topic – it’ll likely be evident which topic and when topics switch. I’m assuming this is helpful to know 😊 Good luck!
